This project proposes a modular environment for restoration and respite that addresses student mental health through evidence-based design. Informed by a survey of 113 current and former college students, the design prioritizes flexibility to support a range of coping practices, from quiet solitude to small-group interaction. Constructed from mass-ply panels, the system is scalable and adaptable to different campus contexts and student populations. Biophilic strategies, adjustable louvers, and reconfigurable interiors allow spaces to respond to individual needs while accommodating multiple programmatic uses.
